Weldcraft 300 Ocean King Diesel Deported to Russia

Apparently, the Russians are pretty serious about their boating. This custom built 30′ Weldcraft Ocean King features a 7′ bottom, 380 hp Yanmar diesel, 274 Hamilton jet, flip down rail seats, self draining deck, 240 gallon fuel capacity and tandem water/sand traps. It boasts a top speed of 43 mph. This vessel was designed for a private party. Hopefully, we’ll receive some photo of this boat in its new home. We’re certainly curious to see how and where these boats are used on the other side of the world. Continue reading

Team BDC/Weldcraft Takes 2nd Place at NSIA Hogs N’ Dogs

Team BDC/Weldcraft was proud to receive 2nd place honors in the annual NSIA Hogs N’ Dogs Combo Salmon & Sturgeon tournament sponsored by Fisherman’s Marine and Outdoor. The unique tournament format allows teams of 3, 5 or 6 members for target Spring chinook salmon or sturgeon on the Willamette or Columbia rivers. Nearly 100 teams competed. Continue reading

Team Weldcraft at NSIA Buoy 10 Salmon Challenge

Team Weldcraft made the journey to Astoria, Oregon to compete in the NSIA Buoy 10 Salmon Challenge at the end of August. Thanks to Weldcraft dealer Sigler’s Marine in Portland, a brand new 240 Cuddy King was made available to fish the event. The day started out slow but persistence paid off. We boated about 10 coho salmon but most were small or natives that had to be released. Only 4 keepers at the end of the day. We certainly weren’t contenders in the tournament, but great fun was had by all. Continue reading
