Team Weldcraft made the journey to Astoria, Oregon to compete in the NSIA Buoy 10 Salmon Challenge at the end of August. Thanks to Weldcraft dealer Sigler’s Marine in Portland, a brand new 240 Cuddy King was made available to fish the event. The day started out slow but persistence paid off. We boated about 10 coho salmon but most were small or natives that had to be released. Only 4 keepers at the end of the day. We certainly weren’t contenders in the tournament, but great fun was had by all.

Weldcraft Boats was proud to be the official port sponsor for the Oregon Tuna Classic in Charleston, Oregon. The event was exceptional with over 400 people attending the banquet and awards ceremony. Fishing conditions were less than ideal with 20-knot winds and big seas. Congrats to all the boats that braved the conditions and returned with tuna. A big thank you all the OTC staff for putting on a great event. A great response to the 260 Weldcraft Cuddy King on display at the Oregon Tuna Classic event.
