REBELLIOUS ATTITUDE CLEVERLY DISGUISED AS REFINED ELEGANCE.
The Weldcraft Maverick has a dozen different moods. One day, it's content to just bask around in the sun with family and friends. The next day, it's fired-up for a non-stop, blistering run round and round and round the lake. It also likes to troll the depths looking for lunkers, or tow skiers, wakeboarders and inner tubes. Even an overnight exploration is among the Maverick's favorite pastimes. Just don't leave it locked up in the garage for long. It gets bored very quickly sitting on the trailer.
With power supplied by an outboard or MerCruiser Sterndrive, the 186 and 201 Mavericks are as delightful to drive as they are to admire. The reverse chines create instant lift, getting the vessel on plane faster and with less horsepower. It holds so tight in the corners even NASCAR would be impressed. But it's cruising, and wide open running, where it really stirs the soul. Screaming along at full throttle is when everyone will take notice. The ride is high and dry, smooth as silk, and confidently under the driver's control.
On the inside, passengers aboard a Maverick will indulge in amenities like Ultra-Ride suspension seats, carpeted side trays and optional bench-to-bed rear seating. Anglers will appreciate the optional transom fish box/live well and available space for optional trolling motor or downriggers. Skiers and wakeboarders will love the spaciousness inside. But, the Maverick really shines when the tow rope is in your hand and you're going for the gusto. Of course, we didn't overlook comfort either. Even the passengers add more smiles while lounging around with a good book, catching some rays, or just admiring the scenery.
